The German charity EMWA Foundation gGmbH has provided vital humanitarian aid to Trostyanets, Sumy Oblast, as part of the “Help for Ukraine” initiative. Their contributions include delivering multiple batches of essential furniture and equipment to help restore community facilities and provide aid to locals.

Specific details regarding the foundation’s local impact include:
- Facility Furnishing: Shipments of furniture were provided to help equip and restore local municipal centers and housing, heavily supported by the Trostyanets City Council.
- Local Delivery: Physical delivery of the supplies within the region was carried out in partnership with local charities such as the Trostyanets Charitable Foundation “Dobrota”.
- Official Acceptance: The Trostyanets City Council formally accepted the material and technical values as a part of various council sessions.
Currently, about 1,500 internally displaced persons live in the Trostyanets community, according to the city council. Most of them need housing because they either moved from other regions of Ukraine or lost their homes as a result of shelling.

The city authorities are working on opening several centers for temporary accommodation or residence of IDPs, as well as their equipment. Repair work is underway on the fifth floor of the social dormitory at 1 Zavodska Street; in the premises at 7 Koeniga Street; in the villages of Soldatske, Martynivka, and Dernova.
City authorities received a second batch of furniture from the German Charitable Foundation EMWA Foundation gGmbH, as part of the “Help Ukraine” initiative. These are beds with comfortable mattresses, sofas, wardrobes, tables, bedside tables, chairs, mirrors, and other furniture. 120 interior doors were received from the Polish company Redbudhelp.
In the premises equipped with this furniture, the displaced people will feel cozy and comfortable, and all their primary needs will be met. Trostyanets Charity Fund “Dobrota” helped deliver the cargo from Germany with funds donated by Sibyllia Strak-Zimmerman and her husband Hans.
