During martial law, when the Russian military continues to attack critical infrastructure facilities, the issue of providing utility companies of Trostyanets city hromada with alternative energy sources is gaining special attention. The City Council is constantly actively working in this direction, enlisting the support of international partners.
Today, the Trostyanets received an extremely important charitable aid: 3 modern mobile lighting towers with an 8 kW generator, on a DEPCO LT5021050 trailer. This aid was made possible thanks to United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the sincere support of the friendly American people through the “HOVERLA” project.

Head of the Department of Housing and Communal Services, Improvement and Energy Management of the Trostyanets City Council, Oleksiy Kotko, on behalf of the entire Trostyanets city hromada, thanked the HOVERLA project/USAID project in Ukraine and the American people for their conscious and high-quality support of the Trostyanets community during the war, and said that these generators will be used by utility workers when eliminating emergency situations, particularly in the dark:
“It will get colder soon, the days will become very short, so these lighting towers will come in handy. After all, utility workers, in addition to an alternative energy source, will also receive a powerful lantern that will illuminate the workplace. In addition, such generators are convenient to deliver to any place, because they have wheeled travel and are equipped with hooks to transport them by towing and coupling”.
Let us recall that the Trostyanets city began cooperation with the USAID “HOVERLA” project in the fall of 2023. In a short period of time, the result of this cooperation was a partnership with the American city of Chattanooga, technical humanitarian assistance to utility workers – an excavator, tractor, dump truck, and many useful training programs.
