In July 2023, Trostyanets city hromada joined the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Project “Enhancing the Efficiency and Accountability of Local Governments” (“HOVERLA”).

Support for the Trostyanets city, which survived the hostile occupation, is focused on the restoration of municipal enterprises, modernization of special equipment, and improvement of the material and technical base.

Our municipal workers use motor vehicles and special equipment from the HOVERLA project / USAID project in Ukraine in landscaping works, for public transportation, and for agricultural work.

Today, Trostyanets received important charitable technical assistance from HOVERLA / USAID project in Ukraine: two new XE35U mini excavators and attachments.

“Mini excavators are distinguished by their high maneuverability and ability to withstand intensive operation. This equipment is extremely necessary for us to clean sewers. Previously, we did not have such equipment, so there were certain difficulties in this area of work,” says Mykola Rybalchenko, a landscaping engineer at the municipal enterprise “Clean City”.

Trostyanets city hromada is infinitely grateful to our reliable partners – the USAID HOVERLA Project for their assistance in the restoration and development of our community!

A huge thank you to the American people for their faith in Ukraine and its indomitable people!

Municipal web-portal "Global Trostyanets" of Trostyanets city hromada was founded in May 2026 as a quick response and gratitude to all our international partners who helped our hromada survive after the occupation in 2022 and develop today. To some extent, this is a unique web resource, which has no analogues in Ukraine.

Trostyanets is becoming an example of high-quality reconstruction and resilience. Financial support from the state and international partners has given us the chance to restore the housing stock, equip premises for the accommodation of displaced persons, create modern medical institutions, launch the educational process, revive and develop the municipal sphere.

Today we have already demonstrated that restoration is not only about rebuilding buildings. It is the path to a qualitatively new level of life for municipality! We have become an example for the country and a convincing signal for foreign donors: aid brings tangible changes.
