Strengthening partnership with Italy
So dear friends, I will continue to briefly inform you about the results of the trip tto Gdansk (Poland) for the Conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine.
3 days of a frantic pace, fatigue, hardly anyone is interested except for relatives, so I will not talk about this, but what is useful for the Trostyanets municipality.
We had a fruitful meeting with representatives of the Italian design company Ai Engineering, which specializes in energy-efficient construction. Together with Метінвест, we are working on the creation of a new residential neighborhood in Trostyanets city , which should become the first energy-efficient residential complex that will meet all three European standards and even improve their parameters, consuming 70% less energy resources than traditional housing construction!
This is exactly what the European Investment Bank wants when lending to new housing construction in Ukraine for victims, displaced persons and social housing.
The agreement with Метінвестand Ai Engineering expands on the one already signed last November at Rebuild Ukraine in Warsaw, and includes a more detailed development of the masterplan for a residential district housing approximately 4,000 IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) within the municipality, as well as the executive-level design of a first residential building typology to be built within it. Sustainability in its broadest sense – environmental and social – together with speed of execution, are among the main themes driving the design development.
This is not an easy task, requiring a lot of discussions and clarification of the technical aspects of future design and construction, the role of each party in this project.
The meeting within the framework of the conference provided an opportunity not online, but in person to calmly discuss all our current developments and details of such design, because it is not easy to involve an international company in our bureaucratic conditions.
Finally, we reached all the understandings and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between Trostyanets City Council, Metinvest and Ai Engineering!
We are starting the design of the first residential block of the future new microdistrict “Parkovy” in Trostianets on Neskuchanska Street!!!
Metinvest has transferred the design documentation for the steel frame of the future first apartment building, which the Italians will technically process after further filling in accordance with all European standards!
And at the end of the conversation, I gave our Japanese friends gifts from Trostyanets hromada: a commemorative medal “Trostyanets – the first liberated Ukrainian city. City-Hero“, and the book “Chronicle of the Unconquered City of Trostyanets”.
So Italian technologies are coming to Ukraine, to Trostyanets!!!
And this is incredibly inspiring!
