The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has been cooperating with the Trostyanets community for almost a year. During this time, the partnership has already brought tangible results.
In rural areas, with the assistance of the committee, a mobile clinic called Fortitude operates, where patients can undergo examinations, take tests, receive results and receive free medicines – all in one day.
Community medical workers also participated in trainings on “Stress Management and Burnout in the Work of a Medical Worker“, conducted by IRC specialists.
In addition, the IRC provides free legal assistance to war victims and helps to arrange care for certain categories of people in need of social services. The committee also provided building materials for roof repairs in the Kamyanka village and other premises of Trostyanets’ Primary Health Care Center.

Today, Trostyanets City Mayor Yuriy Bova visited the village of Oleksyne, where work is being completed on installing a modular house with an area of 30 sq. m. m, which will house a paramedic and obstetrician station.
The organization is completing the installation of modern modular houses in three settlements of the community – villages of Oleksyne, Krynychne and Martynivka. These are territories where medical institutions were damaged or located in unsuitable and outdated premises.
Each modular house is equipped to provide basic medical care and includes:
- an office for receiving patients
- an area for storing medicines
- a water supply system, a bathroom, electricity and heating

Such mobile solutions provide uninterrupted access to primary medical care in remote and frontline settlements.
“We are grateful to the International Rescue Committee for helping us in the most difficult times. Each new facility is a guarantee that our people will be able to receive timely and high-quality medical care, even in rural areas”, – said Mayor of Trostyanets city Yuriy Bova.
IRC Health Manager Andriy Shkuratov emphasized that the cooperation will continue:
“We plan to continue supporting Trostyanets city hromada. In the coming days, two Mitsubishi cars will be transferred to the Central Medical Center for the needs of the community, and we will also continue to implement projects aimed at improving the lives of local residents”.
