A story about the transport system in Switzerland

Yesterday we visited and got acquainted in detail with one of the transport companies in the city of Zug.

Do you know what the main goal of the company is?

    So that passengers are smiling!!!

That is, the service should work in such a way that users are satisfied.

And this is both the transport schedule, of which there are more than a hundred at this company, and the cleanliness of the buses, and also the friendliness of the drivers, who also smile at the passengers!

    Regarding the schedule.

I have already written that all transport here moves almost perfectly on time. A 5-minute delay is already a huge problem and this is carefully monitored from the dispatcher, doing everything so that the driver still has time to correct the situation during the route. To do this, the dispatcher has direct communication via the Internet with each scoreboard at the stops, with each driver and promptly reports a delay of even 1 minute.

Also, buses interact with suburban trains. If the train is delayed for 2-3 minutes, the bus will not leave the stop, but will wait for passengers.

    That is, full customer orientation!

In each bus, a sensor that records the number of passengers transported.

The electronic system collects such data from all over Switzerland and then automatically distributes funds between carriers for the number of passengers transported. After all, it is better to buy a ticket for a year or a month, as we were explained. And you can travel on it throughout Switzerland, regardless of whether it is a bus or a train.

Just imagine! The entire system is configured and interacts clearly, including calculations between carriers.

The ownership of the car company is almost 75% by the city hall, and the remaining% is private investors

No fops and other minibus drivers!!!

Control by the city and the community!

Including the requirements for converting vehicles to electric ones, the state and the city. And by 2050, all transport will be electric.

Municipal web-portal "Global Trostyanets" of Trostyanets city hromada was founded in May 2026 as a quick response and gratitude to all our international partners who helped our hromada survive after the occupation in 2022 and develop today. To some extent, this is a unique web resource, which has no analogues in Ukraine.

Trostyanets is becoming an example of high-quality reconstruction and resilience. Financial support from the state and international partners has given us the chance to restore the housing stock, equip premises for the accommodation of displaced persons, create modern medical institutions, launch the educational process, revive and develop the municipal sphere.

Today we have already demonstrated that restoration is not only about rebuilding buildings. It is the path to a qualitatively new level of life for municipality! We have become an example for the country and a convincing signal for foreign donors: aid brings tangible changes.
