Today we held a very important and productive meeting with UNICEF’s Head of Office, Jinan Ramadan, in Kharkiv city.
We discussed projects prepared by the community to improve water supply, prepare for winter and ensure safety in educational settings.
Another topic was energy efficiency and the use of alternative energy sources, particularly for water supply and healthcare facilities.
Each project developed by the community was discussed in detail with the head of the programme and the experts; we identified ways to collaborate in each area to ensure the swift implementation of priority initiatives.

We also discussed promising projects to create youth and educational spaces within the community.
We also touched upon the topic of assisting the poorest sections of the population in preparing for the coming winter. UNICEF is ready to support such families, particularly those with children in the 50-kilometre frontline zone. Further details on exactly who will receive this support and to what extent will be provided shortly
Catching up on pupils’ educational losses is another area where we agreed to collaborate.
And not just in the town, but also in the villages of the community.
Two hours of meeting and meaningful discussion proved that those who are ready to work and have project proposals will certainly find support!
UNICEF proves this through concrete actions!
