Trosttanets city hromada has once again received important support from its partners from Germany. This time, Trostyanets Mayor Yuriy Bova returned from a business trip abroad with good news and a much-needed gift – modern equipment for public utilities. He solemnly handed over the keys to the car to Valentyna Kolodka, director of the Chyste Misto utility company.
Thanks to friendly relations with the partner city of Montabaur and participation in the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) partnership support program, an Iveco truck, trailer, and wheeled sliding tower were delivered to Trostyanets.
This equipment will soon come in handy in the daily tasks of the municipal utility workers: cleaning, watering, repair work, street lighting maintenance, working at heights – all of which will become much safer and more efficient.

This is not the first donation from our German friends: cooperation with the Montabaur city and GIZ has been going on for years and each time opens up new opportunities for Trostyanets city.
For example, thanks to the Montabaur, we have equipped kindergartens with solar stations, IDP centers with powerful generators, appliances, furniture, and other essentials; utility workers have received modern tools for their work; and Montabaur residents support our children, take them in, and give them valuable gifts for the holidays.
Over the years of cooperation, GIZ has provided an extremely large amount of assistance. This includes the construction of a modular polyclinic and filling it with state-of-the-art equipment, thermal modernization of the hospital’s infectious diseases department; powerful generators, machinery, tools for community utilities, etc.
“We are grateful to our reliable friends and partners from Montabaur and GIZ for their continued support! Your help has helped and is helping us to restore what was lost and destroyed during the occupation and hostilities, to provide quality services to the community, to revive and develop. There are still many ideas and plans ahead that we will definitely implement together,” said Yuriy Bova.
This event is of great importance not only for the utility company, which takes care of the cleanliness and order in the city on a daily basis, but also for the entire community. After all, modern equipment makes the work of public utilities easier and is a step towards a more comfortable, safe and well-maintained Trostyanets.
We sincerely thank the benefactors Frau Gabriele Wieland and Melanie Leicher – the former and current mayor of Montabaur, the entire Montabaur erleben community, the German agency GIZ for their generosity, understanding and faith in our community and in the revival of the whole of Ukraine!
