Trostyanets city hromada was visited by volunteers from the Kingdom of the Netherlands — Jan and Frans from the small town of Son en Breugel, near Eindhoven. They are members of the Rotary Club Son en Breugel and have supported Trostyanets municipality on several occasions. The community has been cooperating with representatives of the organization since 2023. At that time, thanks to their support, Trostyanets received generators, which were provided to educational institutions and social facilities in our hromada.

This time, Jan and Frans donated 20 laptops to schools of Trostyanets hromada. The equipment will help students and teachers continue their studies online in the event of power outages and will provide additional support for the educational process.
Our Dutch friends visited our hromada following a working trip to Sumy city. During a meeting with Trostyanets Mayor Yuriy Bova, the volunteers asked what they could do to support the Trostyanets city today.
Mayor spoke about the city’s current needs and the challenges it is facing ahead of the heating season. It is particularly important now to prepare in advance for possible disruptions to the electricity supply, ensure the stable operation of educational institutions, and provide children with proper learning conditions.

This support is very important for Trostyanets. In the event of power outages, the laptops will help schools maintain continuity of the educational process. The equipment will be used for online lessons, work with digital educational platforms, and access to learning materials. This is especially important for children who do not have their own devices for distance learning.
Trostyanets City Council sincerely thanks Jan, Frans, and all members of the Rotary Club Son en Breugel for their continued support, care, and friendship with Trostyanets city.
