Providing social support to the elderly during the war is an extremely important and valuable endeavour. One aspect of this support is the distribution of humanitarian aid. At present, humanitarian food parcels are being distributed to elderly residents of Trostyanets aged 80–85. These are being handed out by staff from the Social Protection Department in accordance with the lists drawn up.

The food parcels from the Global Empowerment Mission Ukraine (GEM) charity contain high-quality, long-life food items: flour, pasta, cereals, stewed meat or tinned food, cooking oil and biscuits, etc.

Thanks to the long-standing cooperation between Trostyanets City Council and our partners – Global Empowerment Mission Ukraine (GEM) charitable foundation – older people belonging to vulnerable groups have received assistance that meets their basic needs. Equally important is the fact that older residents of Trostyanets feel that they are being treated with attention, sensitivity and care.

Our sincere thanks go to Global Empowerment Mission Ukraine Charitable Foundation for its vital support for those residents of the Trostyanets city hromada who need it most! Through our joint efforts, we are overcoming challenges and building our hromada’s resilience.
