In early September 2023, while visiting Warsaw, Trostyanets Mayor Yuriy Bova agreed to support our municipality with the head of the Taiwan Representative Office in Poland, and also worked out the details and the start of joint projects with the Polish charitable foundation Polskie Centrum Pomocy Międzynarodowej (PCPM).
Today we see the first results of this cooperation: an extremely valuable cargo has been delivered to Trostyanets – two modern cars to provide emergency assistance to the population. These are Volkswagen cars, provided to our community by the charitable foundation “Heart in Action”, which in turn cooperates with our Taiwanese friends.

These cars are modern, in good technical condition, and completely filled with gifts: here are diapers, a hospital bed-wheelchair, and other things necessary to provide medical assistance to people.
Deputy Mayor Volodymyr Zlepko said: “These cars traveled a long way from Taiwan by sea to the Polish city of Gdansk, and then by car to our community. These cars are modern, equipped with everything necessary, and will replace the cars that were received by the city council last year and were transferred by us for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
“Today, a very pleasant event took place in our medical facility: we received two high-class ambulances,” added Anatoliy Plakhtyrya, director of the Trostyanets City Hospital, “we thank our Taiwanese friends and the Heart in Action charity fund directly, they will soon be working, providing medical services to the residents of Trostyanets city hromada!”
We express our sincere gratitude to our friends from faraway Taiwan, Anna Radetska and the Heart in Action charity fund for the effective support that the Trostyanets city hromada needs so much in these difficult days! Special thanks to the Polish charitable foundation Polskie Centrum Pomocy Międzynarodowej (PCPM) and Taiwan Representative Office in Poland for their assistance in transporting the cargo. May your kindness return to you a hundredfold!
