During a visit to the German partner city of Montabaur, the mayor of Trostyanets, Yuriy Bova, met with the newly elected mayor, Melanie Leicher, and members of the city council. The meeting resulted in concrete steps to support the Ukrainian community.
In the near future, Trostyanets will receive 3 solar power plants with a total capacity of 100 kilowatts. Two 30 kW plants are already ready for shipment, and another 40 kW plant will be installed at the expense of German partners. According to estimates, such capacity is capable of fully providing electricity to the local hospital on a sunny day, which will save up to a million hryvnias annually.
Montabaur will also provide a truck with a lift for the city’s utilities and humanitarian aid for children from families affected by the war.
Further cooperation is planned in the areas of education, culture, and medicine. In February 2025, Montabaur will host a delegation of children from Trostyanets, and in the spring, specialists will visit to exchange experience.
