Trostyanets city council continues actively work to improve medical services in the local hospital, providing it with the most modern equipment. An important step in this direction was the arrival of a modern C-Arm device Cios Select from the German company Siemens, which was delivered to Trostyanets city with the help of long-standing partners – GIZ Ukraine.
Siemens Cios Select mobile C-Arm device with a flat detector is a smart and reliable choice for surgical visualization. This equipment allows you to cover a wide range of clinical applications, providing high quality images with low radiation exposure. It is also noted for its reliable design and ease of operation.
“The new device will be installed in the updated operating room, the opening of which is planned in the near future. This will allow X-ray examinations of patients directly during operations, which is especially important in cases where there is no time or opportunity to transport the patient to the X-ray room. This will significantly improve the quality of surgical interventions, – emphasized the General Director of “Trostyanets City Hospital” Anatoliy Plakhtyrya.
Mayor Yuriy Bova expressed sincere gratitude to Siemens for the provided equipment and partnership with GIZ Ukraine, which have long and confidently helped revive Trostyanets Hospital and implement other important projects in the community. He also assured that the hospital will continue to be replenished with new equipment in order to provide residents of Trostyanets city hromada with the highest quality medical services.
This important step testifies to the constant care of the Trostyanets city authorities for the health of their citizens and the desire to provide the most modern medical technologies for every resident of the community.
The war in Ukraine continues to force people to flee the affected areas. Low winter temperatures are exacerbating the precarious situation of the people living there. To provide further help to those affected, Siemens AG and Siemens Healthineers AG are extending their aid campaign and will continue to match every euro donated by their employees to Siemens Caring Hands e.V. Through this charitable organization, the two companies have collected more than €12 million in donations so far since the outbreak of the war. These donations have already enabled various organizations to implement more than 60 aid projects. The projects have ranged from supplying food and medicine to providing clothing and temporary refugee accommodation for Siemens employees and their families, and for anyone in need in Ukraine.
“Together with Siemens Healthineers, our colleagues at Siemens have already shown their great commitment and willingness to help. Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine isn’t over yet. As a result, Siemens continues its support to improve the situation, in particular for medical care in hospitals and other critical infrastructure. We’ve launched multiple aid projects to alleviate the hardship and suffering of those who have been so severely impacted by the effects of the war,” said Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens AG.
One special focus of Siemens’ aid efforts focus is being placed on supplying people with energy, heating and medical products. Above all, many hospitals in the country’s crisis areas currently lack necessary equipment and medication. To support medical care, Siemens Caring Hands e.V. is working with facilities such as the emergency-care hospital in the Lviv region. As part of this collaboration, the donations are used to improve diagnosis and treatment capabilities. Siemens Caring Hands e.V. is also working intensively on planning and implementing aid projects for hospitals in six other cities – Zaporozhye, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Odessa and Kyiv.
In addition, Siemens Caring Hands e.V. is cooperating with Tabletochki, the largest Ukrainian crowdfunding charity foundation. This foundation advocates interests of children who have cancer in Ukraine and is using the donations to procure pharmaceuticals and medical products.
