At the initiative of the Eurasia Charitable Foundation, a humanitarian cargo was delivered from the city of Okayama to two border communities of Sumy region: Trostyanets and Bilopol, the Trostyanets City Hall reported.
Trostyanets city hromada received a modern ambulance – fully equipped with everything necessary, in excellent technical condition. A compact Toyota car was received for the Bilopillia city hromada, which will be transferred to the use of the volunteer fire brigade.
Commenting on the development of friendly and business relations with Japanese partners, the city mayor Yuriy Bova said: “Last year, a delegation of Ukrainian mayors and business representatives visited Japan for a business forum on the economic reconstruction of Ukraine. The event was organized by the All-Ukrainian public organization “Club of Mayors”. Business relations established at the forum have now moved to the stage of implementing specific projects!”.
The head of the Bilopol community, Yuriy Zarko, noted: “With the assistance of Trostyanets city mayor Yuriy Bova, we got into this important program and received a fire truck. Our community suffers greatly from enemy shelling, so the issue of fire safety is acute! This project is an example of effective cooperation between our border communities. Today, more than ever, we need help! Therefore, we invite Japanese municipalities, public organizations, volunteers, and everyone who sympathizes with us, Ukrainians, and our state to cooperate!”

“Ukrainian municipalities located near the contact line have submitted applications for a total of twenty units of special equipment. The Japanese side is trying to help as much as possible. Today, the first two vehicles – a medical and a fire truck – arrived in Sumy region,” Yuriy Bova reported.
