International Rescue Committee (IRC) is starting work in Sumy region, choosing the Trostyanets city hromada as its first site. The organization plans to open its representative office in the city to provide comprehensive assistance to war victims.
At a meeting with Deputy Mayor Lyudmyla Lynnyk, IRC representatives got acquainted with the work of local social services and discussed areas of future cooperation. The organization will provide social, medical and legal support to internally displaced persons, residents who survived the occupation, lost their homes and other vulnerable categories of the population.
“The Trostyanets City Council is always open to cooperation and will assist new partners in resolving organizational issues so that community residents have access to all types of assistance offered,” Lyudmyla Lynnyk emphasized.
