Trostyanets city hromada continues its collaboration with the humanitarian organisation International Rescue Committee (IRC) in the areas of social protection and primary healthcare.

Today, 2 June 2026, a tripartite partnership agreement was signed between International Rescue Committee (IRC), the Centre for Primary Healthcare and Centre for Social Services Provision.

The aim of the Agreement is to work together on a project aimed at providing medical and social services to seriously ill, bedridden people.

The project involves the purchase of two specialised vehicles for the medical and non-medical transport of people with disabilities, to be subsequently handed over for Centre for Social Services Provosion, and Primary Health Care Center, as well as the procurement of 26 electric bicycles for social and healthcare workers.

As part of the project, training sessions will be held for social workers on the following topics:

    • wound care and hygiene assistance
    • safe handling of bedridden patients
    • infection prevention
    • psychological first aid

“Caring for bedridden people requires a comprehensive approach aimed at ensuring their physical and psychological well-being. This issue demands the utmost attention and support. There are such people both in the town and in the villages of the community. Mobile teams, comprising both social and medical workers, will visit them”, – said Svitlana Loboda, Director of Primary Health Care Centre.

Olga Shakhova, Director of the Municipal Institution Centre for Social Services Provision, expressed her gratitude to International Rescue Committee (IRC) not only for caring for the centre’s clients, but also for looking after the social workers who, day in, day out, help people facing difficult life circumstances, support people with disabilities and care for the elderly.

On behalf of all municipal residents, City Council Secretary Natalia Kovalyova expressed her gratitude to the International Rescue Committee (IRC): “The continuation of our partnership is a sign of great trust in Trostyanets hromada. In these turbulent times, when the strain on the medical and social sectors is critical, such support allows us to respond more quickly to the needs of vulnerable groups and become more responsive to the needs of every individual”.

Municipal web-portal "Global Trostyanets" of Trostyanets city hromada was founded in May 2026 as a quick response and gratitude to all our international partners who helped our hromada survive after the occupation in 2022 and develop today. To some extent, this is a unique web resource, which has no analogues in Ukraine.

Trostyanets is becoming an example of high-quality reconstruction and resilience. Financial support from the state and international partners has given us the chance to restore the housing stock, equip premises for the accommodation of displaced persons, create modern medical institutions, launch the educational process, revive and develop the municipal sphere.

Today we have already demonstrated that restoration is not only about rebuilding buildings. It is the path to a qualitatively new level of life for municipality! We have become an example for the country and a convincing signal for foreign donors: aid brings tangible changes.
