The mining company Ferrexpo transferred two specialized Hyundai HD 78 trucks and a passenger bus worth over UAH 4 million to the city of Trostyanets city hromada in Sumy region. The company’s press service reported this to GMK Center.
The city is in dire need of municipal equipment and transport. For more than 30 days of occupation, Russian troops in Trostianets completely destroyed bus and train stations, enterprises and institutions, hospitals, all shops and pharmacies, administrative buildings and hundreds of houses. The Russian military destroyed or stole all ambulances, as well as municipal transport.
“The priority task of our company is to provide assistance to the regions that have suffered the most. The tasks of the Humanitarian Fund, established from the first days of the war, are to restore the work of social and budgetary institutions, municipal enterprises, transport infrastructure of the affected settlements, as well as to solve a number of initiatives to overcome the humanitarian crisis,” Ferrexpo noted.
We would like to remind you that the company created a Humanitarian Fund in the amount of $12.5 million to provide further support to local communities in the region of operation, as well as for broader support to communities throughout Ukraine.
As GMK Center reported, the company previously allocated more than UAH 1.5 million for the purchase and supply of a batch of office equipment for the city of Okhtyrka, Sumy region. This settlement was occupied by Russian troops for almost a month, subjected to massive strikes by enemy aircraft and shelling.
