A modern inclined lifting platform has been installed in the premises of the Sugarcane City Club, which provides barrier-free access to the second floor. This is where the city library and the youth space “KoRobka na Koeniga” operate, where cultural events, master classes and volunteer meetings are regularly held.
The platform consists of two autonomous parts, each of which is equipped with a call button. The visitor presses the button, after which a club employee helps to safely climb to the floor. Residents are already actively using the lift.
The installation of the platform, worth almost 12 thousand euros, was made possible thanks to the Polaris program “Support for Multilevel Governance in Ukraine” and the competition “Grant Support for Swedish-Ukrainian Partnerships” with the support of the Swedish government. The partner of the Trostyanets community in the project was the Swedish municipality of Mura.
