A modular consultative and diagnostic polyclinic has been built on the territory of Trostyanets city hospital, which was damaged by the russians, in Sumy region. Now doctors will be able to receive patients and provide the necessary medical care in a building built and equipped according to European standards.
The construction of the clinic took place within the framework of the project “Special Support Program for Ukraine” from GIZ Ukraine.

It should be noted that such modular clinics are being installed in the regions most affected by the war, where Russia has been deliberately destroying the medical infrastructure.
In the modular polyclinic, doctors will provide medical services in such specialties as obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, endocrinology, surgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, rehabilitation, etc.
Also, the polyclinic department has a clinical and diagnostic laboratory equipped with modern equipment and medical equipment. In particular, hematological, biochemical analyzers and a coagulometer. Laboratory assistants are also provided with two modern microscopes.
In the functional diagnostics rooms, doctors will be able to conduct diagnostic studies, in particular electrocardiography, electroencephalography, etc. The polyclinic also has a neuromyograph installed to perform modern medical and diagnostic procedures.
It should be noted that the modular polyclinic has autonomous heat supply, connected to water supply and sewage systems. The medical facility is also ready to operate in blackout conditions – the modular building is equipped with diesel generators with a capacity of 160 kW along with a fuel reserve. Also, for uninterrupted and full-fledged functioning in critical conditions, the hospital is equipped with solar power stations with a capacity of 70 kW.

Data on the modular hospital expansions (MHE)
Background
In autumn of year 2022 communities in 5 regions requested aid from the GIZ SAP-EU4RR project for support in the health sector to cope the situation that hospital buildings were destroyed in reason of ongoing war and occupation, as well as missing space to treat increasing number of patients due to internal displaced people.
Because of required quick support, GIZ has developed the Modular Hospital Extension solution, based on Container Modules. General timeframe for development of design, tender procedures, production, and installation of MHEs was calculated within total of 8 month. Implementation schedule extended in reason of massive earthquake event in Turkey in the beginning of the year 2023, which led to, and export stop for the in Turkey produced container units for 4 months.

Main Data
Fully equipped Diagnostic Center with capacity of up to 200 patients per day including a laboratory unit and physiotherapeutic department on an area of approx. 500 m², based on container solution.
Space for 18 doctors/medical staff in separate treatment rooms, laboratory room with capacity for four laboratory technicians and physiotherapeutic unit for four physiotherapists.
Exterior landscaping with access for wheelchairs and protection wall (HESCO) against grenade splitter effects and direct gunfire.
Integrated emergency power system with storage unit and battery backup system of 52 KWp, what ensures the operation MHE is basic function modus for up to 12 hours independently.

Modular Hospital and Clinic Solutions Resistant to Crisis Conditions by Dorçe
Ukraine, under infrastructural destruction and humanitarian pressure caused by the crisis, must rapidly improve access to intensive care, oncology and surgical services. To respond to the continuous medical needs of millions of displaced people, the country has focused on building modern, fast installation hospital systems.
In this strategic transformation, DORÇE stands out as a strategic technology provider by developing modular health structures at international standards.
Emergency Response Power with GIZ Cooperation
DORÇE has so far successfully completed prefabricated clinic and health facility projects in 5 different critical regions such as Chernihiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Trostyanets and Zaporizhzhia in cooperation with GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). These facilities provided rapid and permanent access to health facilities in the war zone and immediately responded to the urgent health needs of the region.
DORÇE’s modular structures create a vital difference even in places where modern construction methods are impossible.
Durability: Steel Construction System Resistant to War Conditions.
Speed and Logistics: After offsite production carried out at the DORÇE factory, the structures were shipped in flat pack format, transported to the site by road transport and put into operation in a short time with the on site rapid deployment method.
Energy and Hygiene: Energy Efficient Insulation Solutions, modern MEP and full compliance with international medical hygiene standards.
Scalable Medical Campuses and the Reconstruction Process of Ukraine’s Health Infrastructure
DORÇE’s Modular Engineering expertise will continue to play a critical role in Ukraine’s future health reform. For the planned multi storey oncology center, modular nuclear medicine center, prefabricated surgical hospital and regional health complexes, modular technology is the fastest, most flexible and most cost advantageous option.
DORÇE is positioned as the only global solution partner that can carry out design, engineering, production, logistics and installation under one roof across a wide range including Modular Hospital Campuses, Imaging Centers, Family Health Centers, Emergency Response Units, Mobile Clinics, Intensive Care Structures and Laboratory Buildings.
Thanks to Modern Construction Methods (MMC), despite geographical barriers and security risks, medical infrastructure is rapidly delivered to regions where health services cannot reach, and the quality of life of displaced civilians is sustainably improved.
