Recently, representatives of Trostyanets cty hromada—Maria Slabospitska, a youth worker at the “KoRobka” center, and members of the initiative group for the “Know More, Care for Yourself” project, Daria Ivanova (a student at the Trostyanets branch of Lyceum No. 1) and Tetiana Dema (a student at Lyceum No. 3), returned from an important international trip to Geneva (Switzerland).
The main purpose of the visit was to participate in the 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council—one of the main international platforms where approaches to protecting human rights around the world are shaped.
Over the course of three eventful days, the young people from Trostyanets represented Ukraine and their community with dignity on the international stage.

Daria Ivanova spoke at the Palais des Nations, raising the issue of children’s rights in Ukraine during the war and presenting proposals to support youth. Tetiana Dema presented the project’s activities and her experience working with youth at the community level during the international meeting.
In addition to their presentations, the participants held a series of important meetings with representatives of the UN and diplomatic missions, discussing issues related to the protection of children’s rights, the development of youth initiatives, and international cooperation.
Young people from Trostyanets also actively participated in the themed events: Daria moderated an international panel discussion, and Tetiana was among the speakers, sharing her own experiences and vision for supporting young people.
These meetings took place in a warm and sincere atmosphere. The Ukrainian participants shared their personal experiences of life during the war, spoke about the challenges young people face, and voiced their expectations and hopes for international support.
Participating in such events is an important contribution to building international support for Ukraine. Representatives of the Trostyanets community demonstrated our active civic stance, leadership, and readiness to defend the rights of children and youth at the highest level.
Trostyanets is proud of its young ambassadors, who confidently represent Ukraine on the world stage and are bringing closer a future where every child’s voice will be heard!
