The proposed project includes a full range of works to be performed for the construction of a deep-water well with a pumping station. The technical part of the project envisages providing water supply to the western part of Trostyanets, which is currently carried out using only one 110-meter deep water intake well.
The well has been repeatedly repaired and is not reliable in operation. The quality of water from the aquifer does not meet the standard “Hygienic requirements for the quality of drinking water intended for human consumption” in terms of iron compounds.
There are no backup wells with quality water, so the only option to solve the issue of providing the population with quality drinking water is to build a new water intake well.
The goal of the project is to provide quality drinking water to the western part of Trostyanets by constructing a new water intake well that will meet basic sanitary standards.

Project goals:
- Construction of a new water intake well in the Cenomanian-Lower Cretaceous aquifer.
- Ensuring reliable and high-quality water supply to the western part of Trostyanets.
- Ensuring that the water quality meets the requirements of hygiene standards.
- Improving the living conditions and health of the city’s residents by providing access to quality drinking water.
The target audience of the project:
- Residents of the western part of Trostyanets – 11200 people.
- Residents of the IDP settlement in the Neskuchne tract – 100 people.
- Local government, which is directly interested in improving the city’s infrastructure and providing comfortable conditions for residents.
- Educational institutions, hospitals, businesses and other institutions that need reliable access to quality drinking water for their operations – 2000 people.
Project objectives
- drilling an exploration and production well with a depth of 810 meters;
- construction of an underground pumping station above the well;
- equipping the well with pumping equipment;
- organization of improvement of the first sanitary protection zone;
- installation of power electrical equipment.

- Providing the population with quality drinking water.
- Reducing the risk of diseases associated with the consumption of unfit water.
- Increasing the level of comfort and meeting the basic needs of residents.
- Improving the city’s water supply infrastructure.
