During a meeting with Trostyanets’ City Mayor Yuriy Bova, they discussed how to collaborate in order to expand the range of rehabilitation services provided in our hromada and improve its quality, so that all people with disabilities and serious illnesses are covered by these services.
It should be noted that this fund selects for participation in the new project precisely those communities that are ready to actively develop modern rehabilitation services. Trostyanets has been included in the list of such communities.

The project envisages:
- conducting an initial analysis of staffing capacity, existing rehabilitation services, infrastructure and patient needs;
- providing training for rehabilitation specialists, primary care doctors and social workers;
- introducing a one-stop rehabilitation service at community level
- introduction of a one-stop rehabilitation service at community level
The meeting was attended by: Alla Kostenko, Executive Committee Administrator; Lyudmyla Lynnyk, Deputy Mayor; Maksym Synyavin – Deputy Mayor; Lilia Gontar, Director General of the Trostyanets City Hospital; Svitlana Loboda, Director General of the Primary Healthcare Centre; and representatives of the minicipality’s social services.
The discussion focused on:
- organising the provision of assistive devices (wheelchairs, crutches or walking frames) for people with reduced mobility
- training social workers who work directly with people with disabilities

Particular attention during the dialogue was paid to ensuring mobility and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities, which is one of the key areas of work for Momentum Wheels Humanity.
Mayor Yuriy Bova emphasised that the development of rehabilitation services in the community is a priority, as in wartime this is critically important for the recovery of veterans, civilians affected by the war, and all residents of the community. The Trostyanets City Hospital has a Rehabilitation Ward staffed by qualified specialists and equipped with modern facilities. The rehabilitation department will soon begin operating in its newly renovated premises.
He expressed his gratitude to the Momentum Wheels Humanity Foundation for its concern for the health of Trostyanets’ residents and expressed his hope for the successful development of the partnership in the field of medical rehabilitation.
