Today, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Volodymyr Kreydenko, Ambassador of the Volunteer Movement “Dobrobat“, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Transport and Infrastructure, paid a working visit to Trostianets.
The purpose of the People’s Deputy’s visit was to honor the most active volunteers of “Dobrobat”, who participated in more than 10 campaigns to clear destroyed infrastructure facilities and residential buildings of the Trostyanets community.
Volodymyr Kreydenko presented certificates of honor and sets of workwear to volunteers of the Sumy “Dobrobat“, who today carried out dismantling work in the building of the Krasnotrostianets Forest Research Station, which was shelled by Russian tanks. He said that having visited Trostianets for the first time, he was struck by the scale of the destruction, as well as by how volunteers from “Dobrobat” rallied with local people.

During the meeting, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine spoke with mayor of the city, Yuriy Bova, inspected the condition of the buildings of the Krasnotrostyanets Forest Research Station and the city hospital, which were damaged by shelling during the occupation of Trostianets.
Yuriy Bova noted that today’s toloka is very important. It begins a set of measures to restore the destroyed monument of national importance – the building of the Krasnotrostyanets Forest Research Station (the former house of the manager of the Koenig estates). This is an architectural monument of national importance, built in the Art Nouveau style in the Neskuchne Park in 1911. For the first time, this building was damaged during World War II, and for the second time – during the occupation of Trostyanets by the military of the russian federation. Currently, a large part of the estate has been destroyed, including the valuable library, but the building itself can be restored so that after our victory we can give it a new life.
