Yesterday, another important shipment arrived in Trostyanets from the United Kingdom: three powerful generators from our friends, who have already supported the community more than once.
In the UK, they learned about our problems with constant power outages, which affect all residents of the community. Today, due to ongoing shelling of energy infrastructure, people are often left without electricity. Along with power, water supply is also disrupted, as water intake facilities cannot operate. That is why the main task of the city authorities is to equip every infrastructure facility—boiler houses, schools, and kindergartens—with generators, so that people can maintain essential living conditions even in difficult times.

A benefactor from the UK, Chris Horn from the town of Marlow, is a member of the charitable organization MARLOW UKRAINE COLLECTIVE, which brings together both British and Ukrainian volunteers to support our country during the war. Together with his colleagues, he initiated a fundraiser to purchase two powerful generators for the Trostyanets community, raising £3,000. These are new generators with a capacity of 11 kW each, which will be installed at the city’s water intake facilities.
Other organizations also joined in supporting our community, including the Ukrainian community in Rugby and the Organisation of Ukrainian Women in Coventry (OUW). They organized a charity concert, raising £2,000, and purchased a 15 kW Hyundai generator for Trostyanets. It will be installed at one of the boiler houses that supplies heat to a school and a kindergarten.
Mayor Yurii Bova, who personally received the shipment, expressed his gratitude to the donors:
“We are sincerely grateful to our friends from the United Kingdom for this support. At a time when the enemy is trying to leave our cities without light, heat, and water, such assistance is extremely valuable. Thanks to you, we can ensure uninterrupted operation of water intake facilities and boiler houses, and therefore stability and comfort for our residents. This is an example of true international solidarity, which we deeply appreciate and will never forget”.
Additional information: Cooperation between the Trostyanets city hromada and the town of Marlow began in London during a trade mission to the United Kingdom and later developed into a personal meeting between mayors of Trostyanets with the Marlow Ukraine Collective and Chris Horn, a resident of Marlow. In February, this organization had already sent aid to Trostyanets: 51 generators, which were distributed to socially vulnerable residents of the community.
